Idol cloaks are their skin. If you rip their cloak off, you skin them alive.

However, if you wanted to hide from the sun… or someone… you CAN hide… near their nether regions. There, the cloak lifts off the body a bit, much like coat tails or a sleeve, to allow hind legs (or wings or tails) to run unencumbered. It is a bit sensitive though… and you should only do it if it’s dire, or if you have consent. Don’t touch butts unless you have consent, please.
